classrooms, then keep Julie Pickren in mind when you head
to the polls this November.
The educator and small
business owner wants to put a
spotlight on issues affecting the
quality of education in Texas.
These include "Opportunity audits", which ensure equal access to
education regardless of language, disability, financial situation, or
skin color.
"A great public education
benefits the community in
multiple ways.
It boosts the economy, reduces crime, and builds
future leaders," she stated.

In addition to running a small business, she serves on
Alvin Independent School District's board of trustees.
Her contributions to the rapid
growth of her school district have
led to her being recognized
multiple times for fiscal
responsibility.
Her next goal is to represent District 7 in the Texas State Board of
Education by running in November's general election under the
Republican Party.
