2021 by owner and restaurateur Chef
Shimar Mitchel who, when presented with
the opportunity to open a restaurant
tucked away in the office building at 9 mile
and Providence Drive, knew exactly what
the area needed.
Since its launch, Chef Mitchel
has been a regular feature on
the local news for having
created a space and a menu
that Southfield can't get enough
of.

Build Your Own Omelette, freshly
made croquettes, grits, pancake tacos,
Southern fried chicken and waffles,
catfish and grits, apple pie, and the
crown jewel at Hidden Gem, the NY
strip steak and eggs.
