conmen's modus operandi was to
approach authors with an offer to
pitch their film-worthy book to top
film company executives. 
 As a result, the unsuspecting
writer would repeatedly pay
toward scripts, loglines/synopsis,
and show bibles to pitch their
material to these supposed film
executives.
She describes her
investigation into the matter
which resulted in exposing
the scam. 
This is followed by
interviews with ten other
victims about their individual
experiences and writing
projects.
Finally, Dr. Scott gives advice on
how you can recognize and avoid
cons, as well as what you can do
should you fall prey to this type of
fraud and how to possibly retrieve
any lost money.
