Are We The Right Driving School For You?
Choosing the right driving school is an important decision, we have
an excellent reputation and great reviews, but, are we the right
driving school for you? There are lots of driving schools in each
area, including some with tempting deals, so how do you choose
between them?
Lesson Duration
With over twenty years of experience and one of the highest pass rates in the area, we find that
taking 2 hour lessons every week proves to be the most successful strategy for most clients. In
a two-hour lesson, you will learn far more, than in two separate one-hour lessons, it is far more
beneficial and you will usually be test ready in half the time, saving you considerable amounts
of money. A two hour lesson allows for more condensed learning, some students feel that they
would be unable to concentrate for that period, which is why we split lessons into different
sections to break up the two hour period. In a lesson you could cover several topics, this helps
to keep learning focused and aids your concentration.
If you are concentrating on, for example, a particular manoeuvre you may need to drive to a
suitable location to practice and then drive back again, travelling to a suitable location can
reduce the teaching time you receive, meaning you will need more lessons.
Regular Lessons
Regular weekly lessons mean that you have time to review what happened in the previous
lesson, maybe consider what you could have done differently and prepare for your next lesson
whilst everything is still fresh in your mind. Regular driving lessons provide continuity and
accelerate your learning period. If you are on a tight budget, lessons every other week may be
appealing, but it can be detrimental to your learning and we find that students do not progress
as quickly and need considerably more lessons. This is why we do not feel that we would be
providing you with the best service or value for money.
Teaching Style
If you enjoy your lessons you will get much more from them and progress much more quickly.
Our instructors are friendly and empathetic, they have helped hundreds of people pass their
tests, from the very confident to the very nervous. We aim to put you at your ease and build a
relationship with you so that we can deliver the lessons in a learning style that suits the way
you learn. We don’t believe that one method or teaching style suits everyone. If you are nervous
about learning to drive, we fully understand and have methods in place to help you with this,
we can also provide access to the “Confident Drivers” scheme to help you overcome your
nerves. We do not shout or get upset if you get things wrong, we are here to support and help
you become a confident driver and pass your test. We believe you will learn far more with good
quality teaching in a relaxed environment than you ever will by someone shouting at you.
