New Literacy Book Series Helps
Moms & Dads Teach Reading To
Preschoolers
Faith Borkowsky has a new book series for people who are in a young
child or preschoolers 'village', and are in a position to help them learn
how to read.
Published by High Five Literacy and
Academic Coaching, the book series is
for parents of preschoolers and
community-based professionals,
including preschool teachers.
It's called ‘If Only I Would Have Known...:
What I wish the Pediatrician, the
Preschool Teacher, and the Librarian
Would have told me about Language,
Literacy, and Dyslexia’.
In light of systemic failings in the
education system in the US,
Borkowsky has authored her ‘If Only’
series to share her experience and
knowledge as a literacy consultant.
The series offers you
research-based, peer-
reviewed programs that
have produced positive
gains for students.
Given school systems are slow to
implement meaningful change, it is
parents and community leaders like you
who can make the most profound
difference to a child’s literacy
outcomes.
Borkowsky said, the 'If Only' series has
"common sense strategies for building
reading-ready preschoolers" and helps
parents "advocate for proper instruction
for their children”.
