Help Prevent Suicide Among Veterans By
Supporting This Austin City Arts Event
Are you excited about the return of the Austin Veterans Arts
Festival, AVAFEST, but don’t have the means to be there in
person?
The Austin Veteran Arts Festival (AVAFEST) will
return in 2021 as an online event.
Organized by the Veterans Suicide Prevention
Channel, the event is set to take place between
October 16 and November 14.
You'll have the opportunity to
contribute to a movement that's
been helping veterans with
depression.
Approximately 32% of veterans
are suffering from depression and
about 7,300 commit suicide
annually.
During the event, you'll see the various art pieces created by
talented uniformed personnel and veterans.
Our online art exhibits will also give
you a chance to help artists
financially, as you'll be able to
purchase original artwork.
Moreover, if you wish to sponsor a
veteran, you'll be able to do so through
a virtual 5K race.
The event will also feature the performance of a number of
dancers, singers, plays, bands and more.
This year’s showing will be bigger
because anyone around the
country can simply log on and join.
Our veterans, military personnel
and their families need your support
more than ever. Sign up now!
