The Bowery, an oceanfront bar and restaurant in Myrtle
Beach, South Carolina recently announced its annual
Christmas in Dixie event.
Located on the famous Myrtle
Beach Boardwalk, The Bowery
has been a popular venue for
family-friendly fun and
entertainment since 1944.
Started in 2008, The Bowery's annual Christmas in Dixie event
has become a staple of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk calendar.
Coined the "8th Wonder of the
World!," The Bowery has a rich
history of providing live
entertainment.
The Bowery's house band from 1973-1980 was the
country music supergroup Alabama.
Inducted into the Country Music
Hall of Fame in 2005, the band still
considers The Bowery home and
makes numerous appearances
throughout the year.
In addition to the Christmas in Dixie event, The Bowery hosts the
official afterparty for the annual Carolina Country Music Festival
every June.
The Bowery has also been
featured in music videos shot for
country superband Alabama.
The Bowery welcomes locals and tourists and offers an extensive souvenir
list with many unique items featuring The Bowery logo, from t-shirts and
hats to hot sauces and belt buckles for those wanting to commemorate their
visit.
