Running Analysis Using High-Speed Camera
Available At Rollingwood, TX Physio
Do you come home from a run with aching feet, painful shins,
twisted knees, or stiff hips? This is the help you've been waiting
for!
Axiom Physiotherapy offers in-depth image motion
analysis using a high-speed camera that takes 120
frames per second.
By leveraging the technology, Axiom
Physiotherapy can correct your running style and
reduce imbalance.
Running and gait analysis are used to
assess how a person’s body moves
while they are undertaking exercise and
identify which muscles and tendons are
under stress.
When looking at the photographs, the
physiotherapist can analyze various
factors, including degree of rotation around
the joints, balance, knee height, foot
position, and arm swing,  among others.
Before the analysis, the clinician will review your injury history,
discuss any concerns, and assess your running shoes.
Once completed, you will be asked to run
in front of the camera, which will capture
both a rear and side view in real-time.
The whole session should take around 60
minutes.
After examining the footage, the
physiotherapist will provide you with
immediate feedback and make suggestions
for initial changes and exercises.
Within 24 hours of the session, you will receive a frame-by-
frame analysis with comments, and a detailed report.
You will also be given access to a home
exercise video library personalized to
your specific gait so that you can
continue making corrections in the long
term.
The physiotherapists suggest that
you wear your regular running
shoes and comfortable clothing for
the session.
