Newman University names Dr. Tim Cho as its new
Dean of Healthcare Professions. From respiratory
therapist to M.D. to academic leader.
Dr. Tim Cho brings unique blend: M.D. from University of
Cincinnati, clinical respiratory care experience, and
proven leadership in healthcare education.
Cho started as adjunct faculty
while working in respiratory
therapy. Became full-time
educator in 2019, program
director 2022-2025, division chair
2024.
He partnered with colleague Stacie Fox to grow respiratory care program enrollment,
increase retention rates, and strengthen high school partnerships.
Cho plans to prioritize simulation and
interdisciplinary education. Focus: helping
students develop teamwork skills and
communication for quality patient care.
His managerial experience in hospital settings have
equipped him with skills for his education roles.
He will oversee 35% of Newman's students across 5 programs and is Excited to collaborate with faculty,
students, and community partners for continued innovation.
