Understand Vehicle Error
Codes In Plain English
With This OBD2
Diagnostic Device
Using the FIXD sensor, you can now tap into your car’s
brain, and understand exactly what’s going on.
Connecting to your smartphone, it
lets you know exactly what that
engine warning light means, what
other faults there might be, and
whether it’s safe to keep driving.
Long gone are the days when we could tinker with a car in the back
shed. All those fancy computers have made it much more difficult to
get under the hood.
Well, Glenn Brizendine Solutions is
helping to change that. With FIXD, you
can now understand over 7,000 error
codes in plain English. So, you know
exactly what’s wrong before your
mechanic does.
So, what is the clever tech that makes it possible? Introduced in the
US in 1996 and Europe in 2001, OBD2 refers to an on-board self-
diagnostic system that reports problems with your vehicle.
Multiple sensors throughout your car
send signals to an electronic control
unit (ECU). This information can be
accessed via a port, usually located
under your steering wheel.
The FIXD device plugs directly into this port, and can then send
information to any Android or iOS device via Bluetooth.
The downloadable application
provides you with a host of vehicle
health information, including how
serious any issues are, and whether it
is safe to continue driving.
In addition to stopping you from doing any more damage, the
system also helps you understand the nature of any problem
before attending a repair center.
This not only gives some forewarning
of what repair costs might be
involved, but also provides an
additional safeguard against
dishonest information from repair
businesses.
An American-owned and operated company, FIXD was established by
3 Georgia Tech graduates who saw an opportunity to improve
transparency in the auto-repair industry.
Glenn Brizendine Solutions aims to review
and present the latest technology
innovations for the consumer market, and
the recent addition of FIXD to their product
line demonstrates their confidence in its
effectiveness.
