Grief Coach Product Manager, Vanessa
Callison-Burch, launches text-based surveys
Vanessa says, "as a product
manager I'm always curious
and excited to learn about
people's experiences with our
service."
"I know how much care goes
into crafting each text message
Grief Coach sends, and was
eager to hear if people found
them helpful."
We surveyed bereaved
families receiving support
from one of our hospice
partners in Ohio, and the
results were strong:
96% of respondents said
they find the text
messages helpful.
People shared how the
messages offered support
and encouragement at just
the right moments.
One person said "the texts
are like little nuggets of truth
that are accepting,
supportive, and
encouraging."
Grief Coach CEO, Emma
Payne, says that "grief support
reduces the risk of negative
health outcomes such as
depression, anxiety and
substance use ...
so it makes sense that
hospices are looking for
effective, thoughtful ways to
care for their bereaved family
members and make sure the
care is helpful."
The idea for delivering text-
based surveys was a
logical next step for Grief
Coach.
The company already knew
that text messages were a
great way to connect with
grievers.
