New Yam Festival
For the ICSN 25th Anniversary and New Yam Festival,
Ellesu put together a menu that included West African
grazing snacks such as roasted yam and puff-puff
cups.
The event - which was held
October 7th, 2023 at the Oasis
Banqueting Hall in Barking,
London - commemorated the
silver jubilee of the Igbo Cultural
Support Network (ICSN).
It ran concordantly with the New Yam Festival, an annual celebration put on by the Igbo
people to mark the end of the rainy season.
For the menu, Ellesu crafted four grazing snacks -
small chop pouches, buns, roasted yam, and puff-
puff cups.
The puff-puff cups - available in cinnamon sugar,
powdered sugar, Oreo, and white chocolate drizzle
flavours - were a crowd favourite.
