Arizona Public School Educators Embrace
Hope-Certified Curriculum To Prevent
Conflicts
Public school education is full of
enriching life experiences. It can
also be full of class disruptions
and interpersonal conflicts,
creating high levels of stress for
students.
For Arizona public schools, Hope
Rising has developed a hope-
certified emotional intelligence
curriculum designed to teach
students how to healthfully
manage their stress.
"My Best Me" has proved to
decrease class disruptions and the
need for disciplinary actions,
improve student grades, increase
graduation rates, and create a
healthier classroom.
About 45% of United States
public school students report
feeling a consistently high
level of stress. Stress is linked
to higher rates of chronic
absenteeism and dropouts.
Stress and anxiety also
inhibit students' ability to
focus, which negatively
impacts test scores,
reading comprehension,
and overall academic
performance.
One of the five core concepts in the "My Best Me" program
teaches students how to form healthy habits to mitigate their
stress and focus on positive thinking.
"My Best Me" features interactive,
multimedia-filled lessons that
bolster students' collaboration,
engagement, open communication,
and participation in the classroom
and beyond.
