the Bigdog, a disc jockey who
wanted to create a community for

In the latest podcast installment, Harry the Bigdog interviews special guest DJ
Cli-N-Tel, also known as Marq Hawkins, a member of the influential hip hop
and rap group World Class Wreckin’ Crew.
The group was founded in Compton,
California, in the 1980s, an especially
important time in the evolution of
contemporary rap.
In the interview, the musician discusses his
time in the west coast rap scene, working
with notable artists such as Dr. Dre and other
members of NWA.
The DJ and rapper also talks about his book, DJ Cli-N-Tel: The Autobiography, Essays
and Writings of a Modern Day Renaissance Man. The book provides you with an in-depth
look into his early life, career and his thoughts on the Black experience in America.
