Wellness Retreat For Senior Black Women With
Aquaphobia Makes Swimming Enjoyable
The Back2theWater retreat will be held in Cartagena,
Colombia from August 17-27, 2025. It'll make swimming
a calm, healing, & joyful experience, allowing you to
release trauma.
In this 10-day retreat, you'll go
through a 4-day curriculum of
beginner-friendly swim lessons
led by certified instructors in a
nurturing, relaxing setting with a
private pool.
The program includes relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, & mindful movement to
help you remove the mental barriers that have prevented you from being at ease in the
water.
You'll also take part in group safety briefings &
water-based warm-up sessions. At the end of the
curriculum, you'll go on a guided open-water swim.
During the retreat, you'll have opportunities to explore
Cartagena's history, culture, & cuisine. Two nutritious,
delicious meals per day are included in the cost.
